Youth Ministry Volunteer Opportunities

Youth MinistryLife Teen and Edge Core Teams: Core team members lead “Life Nights” and “Edge Nights.” They work as a team to teach, engage, and minister to youth. Volunteers commit to help on Sunday evenings from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. This includes setup and clean up time. Core members are responsible for the Proclaim, the large-group catechetical portion of the night, on a rotating basis and lead small groups each week.

Social Event Chaperones: Various opportunities are provided for youth to interact with other Catholic youth from both the Cluster Parishes and other parishes in our area. Adult chaperones are needed for these events at a ratio of one adult per eight youth in attendance. Events range from sports to mini-retreats.

Other Opportunities: Do you have a particular skill? The youth ministry team may be looking for someone to help with an area you’re an expert in! Contact John Watchorn, Youth Ministry Coordinator, for specific opportunities.

Safe-Environment Policies:
All Youth Ministry Volunteers must submit to Diocesan background screening and must attend a Virtus safe-environment training session and keep up with monthly training bulletins.
